I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. (John 15:5) Read the whole chapter here.
When you begin to follow Jesus and make him your Savior and Lord, he isn't just a distant Savior. He is an intimate friend. Jesus wants to be with you through your hardest trials and your greatest victories.
When you begin to see him as your friend, he will begin to show you that he really does care about everything you are going through. He cares about the big things and the little things. Because that's what friends do; they care; they love; they stay.
Jesus is your friend, and he wants you to realize that he's right there with you. Thank him for being your friend and staying with you through thick and thin. Ask him to help you realize this truth more and more.
